Work in practice
Designing voice AI around a real customer service operation
A business wanted to use voice AI to handle more customer and trade enquiries without losing service quality, context or safe handover to people.
The situation
The challenge
The challenge was bigger than answering the phone. Different call types, product questions, bookings, order capture, missed calls, follow-up, sensitive information and escalation all needed to work together.
The response
What we did
Mapped the real call and order flows first, then defined customer intents, trusted knowledge, escalation rules, calendar and order requirements, post-call capture, secure payment handling and the implementation requirements for inbound and outbound voice AI agents.
The work separates business design from platform choice so the voice AI system can be implemented around real customer journeys, secure handling and human escalation rather than forcing the business into a generic agent template.
The shift
What changed or became possible
- 01
Clear pilot scope before committing to a larger build
- 02
Defined knowledge, escalation and integration requirements
- 03
A practical path from missed and repetitive calls to governed voice AI
