Using an AI Agent to Coordinate Marketing Work Without Losing Control

Marketing work was spread across campaigns, programs, content, tasks and approvals. We organised the underlying information and rules first, then introduced an AI agent to coordinate defined work without giving it authority to publish, send, spend or change strategy.

Project view

01

The challenge

The marketing workload was spread across connected but separate activities. Adding an AI agent on top of that without clear context, responsibilities and limits would have created more confusion rather than less.

02

What we did

Structured the campaigns, briefs, tactics, content, programs, tasks and approval rules the agent needed to understand. Then introduced a Campaign Director Agent with a defined job and explicit limits around strategy, publishing, sending and spending.

03

The shift

Campaign Director Agent active, security-approved and QA-passed

The situation

The challenge

The response

What we did

Structured the campaigns, briefs, tactics, content, programs, tasks and approval rules the agent needed to understand. Then introduced a Campaign Director Agent with a defined job and explicit limits around strategy, publishing, sending and spending.

The Campaign Director reads governed campaign, strategy, brief, tactic, task, program and event context. It can coordinate proposed work, while consequential changes and external actions remain behind human approval.
